Nowadays we use computers for different purposes, for watching movies, communication, playing games or working. Regardless of the type of business we do, at the end of the day the eye effects are the same.
Blurred vision, stinging, tingling and headaches are just some of the negative effects after prolonged time infront of the screen.
To avoid this discomfort of the visual system, it is important to rest your eyes at work.
The first and most important rule is not to constantly look staring at the screen, as this leads to greater eye strain and tension in the eye muscles.
Try every 2 minutes to move your eyes away of the monitor. For about 4 – 5 seconds watch relatively distant subject. This will prevent eye fatigue and visual disturbance of abilities.
Remember to blink often, thus not only humidify the cornea and prevent eye dryness, but also train the eye muscles, which reduces the risk of fatigue.
It is desirable that every 20 minutes to close your eyes for about 30 seconds. Thus, the eyes can relax on the brightness of the monitor and reduces typical blurred vision that occurs when the eyes are exhausted.
Getting up from the computer for a certain time interval is also recommended for soothing the eyes, and the whole body in that matter.
Muscles of the eyes are like the other so they also need exercises. Such exercises are looking left, right, top of the nose and upward, and the rotation of the eyes in a clockwise direction. All the time when you are making the exercises the head should not move – only the eyes. With this exercises you will traine your eye muscles, enhance the visual capacity and reduce fatigue and sluggishness of the optic apparatus.
